Incidents
A driver reported that a golf ball struck her vehicle while she was traveling on North Pine Island Road on June 2, shattering the windshield.
A former employee was accused of stealing an HP laptop, a laptop bag, and a wireless mouse, valued at more than $1,300, after being terminated on May 27.
A Tamarac resident reported receiving scam calls from individuals claiming to represent Walmart, Wells Fargo and the Social Security Administration and sent a photo of a Florida identification card before becoming suspicious.
A couple reported losing more than $22,000 after scammers posing as Chase Bank fraud investigators collected their debit cards and made unauthorized ATM withdrawals and purchases.
An armed robbery reported June 2 involved unknown suspects stealing a victim’s cellphone, cash and handgun during an incident that occurred May 31.
A wallet lost by a Tamarac resident was later used to make unauthorized purchases at a Publix supermarket.
A woman reported being pushed by another person while entering TD Bank on West Commercial Boulevard and said she feared for her safety.
A resident reported being scammed out of $100 by an individual met through TikTok.
A missing person report was filed after a woman reported her daughter missing from her Tamarac home. The individual was entered into state and national missing person databases.
A resident alleged that a tax preparation business promised a refund of more than $5,500 that was never received.
A victim reported that financial aid funds totaling $1,000 were deposited into an unknown bank account instead of the intended account.
A vehicle stolen from Tamarac on June 5 was recovered several hours later in Miami and returned to its owner after investigators processed it for fingerprints.
An electric bicycle valued at $1,670 was stolen from outside the Publix at 4121 W. Commercial Blvd.
A package valued at approximately $430 was reported stolen from the front porch of a Tamarac residence.
A rideshare passenger reported that a driver threw a water bottle that struck her after an argument over directions to her destination.
Unknown suspects stole nearly $330 worth of shoes from Marshalls at 4197 W. Commercial Blvd.
A disturbance between two Tamarac city commissioners resulted in a threats and intimidation report.
A vehicle burglary on June 8 resulted in the theft of approximately $950 worth of property.
A hospice patient at Parkside Assisted Living Facility was found unresponsive and pronounced dead. Deputies reported no signs of trauma or foul play and determined the death appeared to be from natural causes.
A shoplifting suspect was arrested after allegedly stealing merchandise from Publix at 4121 W. Commercial Blvd.
Three suspects stole seven boxes of Pampers diapers valued at about $31 from Family Dollar at 3150 W. Commercial Blvd.
A victim reported that an unknown person used a Humana allowance debit card without authorization.

A victim reported losing nearly $1,900 in a bail scam involving impersonation fraud.

June 2: Pearl Sharell Young, 40, was arrested on a warrant alleging providing a false name to law enforcement.
June 2: Alberto Montoto, 64, was arrested on a domestic battery charge.
June 2: A 40-year-old woman was arrested on a domestic battery charge.
June 3: Christa Taniyah Givens, 23, was arrested on a domestic battery charge.
June 3: Marcus Gibson, 40, was arrested on a trespassing charge after previously being warned not to return to a property.
June 3: Janessa Lydda Vazquez, 48, was arrested on felony charges of possessing fentanyl, ketamine and drug paraphernalia.
June 3: Ne’vaeh Edwards, 19, was arrested on a domestic battery charge.
June 4: A 29-year-old man was arrested on a dating violence battery charge.
June 5: A 21-year-old woman was arrested on a felony charge of making a written or electronic threat to kill or cause bodily harm.
June 6: Ahmad Roberto Abed, 24, was arrested on a domestic battery charge.
June 7: A 39-year-old man was arrested on a stalking domestic violence charge.
June 7: Melvyn Leendert Creebsburg, 22, was arrested on a domestic battery charge.
June 8: Justin King, 33, was arrested on a felony petit theft charge due to multiple prior convictions.
