A woman was Baker Acted after reporting suicidal thoughts and was transported to Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health.
A man reporting auditory hallucinations and self-harm intentions was Baker Acted and transported for evaluation.
Theft / Fraud / Property Crimes
Mail was stolen from a locked mailbox; estimated loss: $1.
A vehicle was reported stolen overnight; the owner had all sets of keys.
A 14k gold bracelet with the nameplate “MARCUS” was reported lost.
A U.S. passport was reported lost at a CVS.
A Macy’s package was stolen from a residence; estimated loss: $390.
A victim was defrauded out of $2,000 after a suspect impersonated a Chase Bank representative.
Retail thefts were reported at CVS, Marshalls, and Walgreens, with losses ranging from $50 to $100.
A Florida license plate was stolen from a vehicle; estimated loss: $6.
A bicycle wheel was stolen outside a hotel; estimated loss: $50.
Approximately 50 gallons of used cooking oil were stolen from a pizza restaurant; estimated loss: $40.
Identity theft was reported after personal information was used to purchase tires and apply for a loan.
Auto Thefts
Multiple vehicles were reported stolen, including an Acura MDX. Several victims reported having possession of their only keys.
Suspicious / Information Reports
Deputies investigated a suspicious individual at a laundromat seen climbing into washing machines; no crime confirmed.
An alleged battery call resulted in an informational report after no crime was determined.
A reported online romance scam was investigated but no criminal offense was established.
A stolen vehicle was located, but it had already been recovered by another agency and not removed from NCIC.

A vehicle was damaged when an object was thrown at it while driving.

A missing juvenile was located at a friend’s residence and returned to ChildNet.

Sandra Maria Tangarife Fuenmayor, 61, arrested for aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
Rene Basil Young, 57, arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Diego Jose De Lacerda, 36, arrested for domestic battery.
Sean Robert Melbeuf, 34, arrested for dating violence battery.
Alastair Albern Wilmot, 35, arrested for felony assault on a person 65 years of age or older.
Carel Pedre, 45, arrested for domestic battery.
