The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Tamarac responded to various incidents through July 21, 2025. Below is a detailed account of the incidents and arrests handled by local law enforcement during this period.
Theft & Property Crimes
Theft – Street Lamp Wire was reported between July 7 and July 14. Approximately $6,000 worth of electrical wiring was stolen from city-owned street lights.
Retail Theft at Walgreens (3914 W Commercial Blvd) on July 15 involved a male suspect who stole items worth $79.
Another Retail Theft occurred at Walgreens (3194 W Commercial Blvd) on July 17, where a female suspect concealed $124 in makeup items and exited without paying.
Fraud cases:
A resident was scammed by a fake Apple support agent, resulting in a $2,500 loss.
An unknown subject fraudulently cashed a $5,000 check from a title company.
An individual’s Chime bank account was accessed, and $1,420 was transferred without authorization.
A credit card fraud case was reported involving unauthorized charges over a one-month period.
Auto Theft:
A vehicle was stolen overnight from an apartment complex between July 16–17.
A separate theft of a $90,000 vehicle was reported on July 20.
Recovered Auto: A stolen vehicle was located and towed on July 15.
Lost Property: Incidents included a missing Haitian passport and a motorcycle tag that fell off while riding.
A robbery occurred on July 16 at a store when suspects stole $387 worth of merchandise. One suspect struck an employee during the theft.
Domestic Incidents
Multiple domestic disturbances were reported, all classified as non-criminal verbal disputes between family members or partners.
A battery incident on July 15 involved a woman who reported being punched three times in the head by her partner. The offender was arrested.
An aggravated assault occurred on July 18 during a domestic incident; the subject was taken into custody.
On July 19, a male was shot in the leg and was uncooperative about the location or details.
Mental Health & Welfare
Two individuals were Baker Acted and transported to Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center for psychiatric evaluation.
Multiple information reports were filed, including one concerning a FedEx package misdelivery, a neighbor dispute, and a missing person who was later found.
A death investigation was initiated after an unresponsive woman was transported to Woodmont Hospital and later pronounced deceased.
Arrests
Vernon Marquis, 39, was arrested for tampering with an electronic monitoring device.
Mondel Elise, 38, was arrested for possession of five or more fraudulent identities.
Sayyidat Smith, 24, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in a domestic case.
Carlos Ernesto Flores Molina, 25, was arrested on a warrant for possession of cocaine.
Gabriel Luis Cubano, 39, was arrested for never having a driver’s license issued.
Angelo Agneau Dorsainvil, 27, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Jade Xavier Laborda Vazquez, 27, was arrested for domestic battery causing bodily harm.
Ralph Deonta Roberson, 33, was arrested for animal cruelty.
