Information Report: Deputies responded to a complaint of workers digging in a front yard without permission; determined they were authorized. No crime occurred (Sept. 2).
Baker Act: Deputies responded to a Publix manager’s report of a woman refusing to leave the liquor store. The subject was taken under the Baker Act (Sept. 2).
Burglary Conveyance: An unknown male was observed looking into a pickup truck parked in a driveway (Sept. 2).
Theft: A package theft was reported outside an apartment, with an estimated loss of $200 (Sept. 2).
Aggravated Assault: A subject was arrested after pulling out a weapon during an argument (Sept. 2).
Death Investigation: A 75-year-old woman was found deceased at her Tamarac residence after a welfare check. The primary care doctor agreed to sign the death certificate (Sept. 2).
Shoplifting: Publix reported a male taking several items without paying, estimated loss $49 (Sept. 3).
Criminal Mischief: A suspect was seen breaking a vehicle window with a rock (Sept. 3).
Theft – Bicycle: A black electric bike valued at $300 was stolen from a porch after being left unsecured (Sept. 3).
Suspicious Incident: A man in an altered state knocked on a homeowner’s door asking to use their phone for an Uber (Sept. 3).
Multiple Baker Acts: Several cases during the week involved individuals experiencing mental health crises, including a woman who harmed herself at a treatment center and others not taking prescribed medication (Sept. 3–4).
Domestic Disturbances: Deputies responded to several verbal altercations between spouses, and between a mother and daughter, deemed non-criminal (Sept. 4–5).
Burglary Conveyance: A vehicle was broken into overnight; an iPad valued at $2,820 was stolen (Sept. 5).
Fraud – Identity Theft: A victim reported her personal information was used to open a utility account fraudulently (reported Sept. 5).

Aggravated Assault with a Weapon: Melissa Aida Saillant, 37, arrested (Sept. 2).
Warrant Arrest: Antonio Devontay Long, 32, arrested on an open beverage warrant (Sept. 2).
Warrant Arrest – Criminal Mischief: Dominic Ryan Morrison, 40, arrested (Sept. 3).
Stalking – Dating Violence: A 23-year-old man was arrested (Sept. 3).
Weapon Offense: Karen Anne Apuzzo Whitcomb, 56, arrested for launching a missile into a dwelling/vehicle (Sept. 3).
Domestic Battery Arrests: Tara Louise Cook Gibson, 54; Lyniya Williams, 21; and Paige Nicole Brayboy, 25, were arrested in separate domestic violence cases (Sept. 4).
Battery – Cause Bodily Harm: Kayla Erin McFadden, 23, arrested (Sept. 5).
Battery – Touch or Strike: Patrick Sylvester Benn, 31, arrested (Sept. 6).
Domestic Battery – Bodily Harm: Herman George Allen, 66, arrested (Sept. 6).
