A woman faces child abuse and aggravated battery charges after allegedly chasing and ramming her husband’s vehicle with four children in her car.
According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Samantha Nicole Wright-Page, 38, of Miramar, was arrested Sunday, September 13, on one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon involving domestic violence and four counts of child abuse without great bodily harm. The arrest followed an incident that began around 5:54 a.m. when Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance near the 8400 block of 59th Place.
Records show the victim told police Wright-Page allegedly decided to drive the children to his residence and leave them there. After the children exited her vehicle, Wright-Page reportedly saw her husband drive away while the children remained at the home with his mother.
According to the affidavit, Wright-Page returned, picked up the children, and drove toward her husband’s location near Northwest 84th Terrace and Northwest 59th Place.
Deputies said Wright-Page then intentionally drove her vehicle into her husband’s car; a Tesla camera captured the collision.
Authorities said all four children were inside Wright-Page’s vehicle when the collision occurred. Investigators listed all four children in the vehicle as victims, resulting in four separate child abuse charges.
Wright-Page told investigators that her marriage was troubled because her husband had begun a relationship with someone else, according to the probable cause affidavit.
Wright-Page was arrested and transported to the BSO Main Jail. Her booking report listed her as being held without bond.
