The Chabad Jewish Center of Tamarac invites the community to gather for the High Holidays with free services available to all, regardless of background or affiliation.

All services and events will be held at the Chabad Jewish Center of Tamarac, 8100 N. University Dr.
The Jewish Center’s morning Rosh Hashanah services will continue Tuesday, Sept. 23, and Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 9:45 a.m. A children’s holiday program will take place at 11 a.m., with the sounding of the shofar—the traditional ram’s horn—at 11:30 a.m.
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, starts Wednesday, Oct. 1, with the Kol Nidrei service at 6:50 p.m. Services resume the following morning at 9:30 a.m., alongside a special children’s program from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Yizkor memorial service will also be held Oct. 1 at 11:30 a.m. The day continues with afternoon services at 5:30 p.m., Neilah (the closing prayer) at 6:30 p.m., and the communal fast break at 7:40 p.m.
“High Holidays are a time to reset, reconnect, and start the year fresh,” said Rabbi Kopel Silberberg, who leads the Chabad Jewish Center of Tamarac. “At Chabad, our goal is to create a space where every person feels at home, whether you come every week or it is your first time in a synagogue.”
Silberberg emphasized that services are designed to be warm and engaging for all ages, with programming for children to allow parents to participate fully. Security will also be present to ensure a safe environment, he said.
