Tamarac Crime Update: Armed Robbery and Battery on A Health Care Worker

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through December 27, 2021.

Armed Robbery

W. Commercial Blvd.

On 12/22/2021, the victim stated that he went to check on his children’s mother and her unknown male friend approached him with a firearm in his right pocket. The firearm was exposed and he had his hand on the grip. At this time, he threatened to kill the victim, putting him in fear and temporarily depriving him of his cellphone. Tot. Est. Loss: $300.

Battery

N. University Dr.

On 12/21/2021, a suspect did willfully and intentionally strike a healthcare worker.

Burglary Conveyance

W. Prospect Rd.

On 12/21/2021, the victim reported a burglary to her gray Toyota Camry while she was with her children at the park. The vehicle was locked and there was evidence of forced entry. Point of entry was through the driver’s door window. Suspect(s) stole a wallet containing a debit card and driver’s license. Tot. Est. Loss: $20.

French Plum Ln.

On 12/25/2021, an unknown suspect burglarized the victim’s truck and removed a 9mm handgun and Air Pods. Tot. Est. Loss: $529.

NW 75th Ave.

On 12/26/2021, an offender was caught by one of the victims in his vehicle. The vehicle owner held him on the ground until deputies arrived. The victims did not want to pursue criminal charges against the offender and signed a waiver of prosecution. Tot. Est. Loss: $511.

Criminal Mischief

NW 59th Ct.

On 12/22/2021, the victim noticed that her vehicle was vandalized and called 911 to report it. Vehicle was spray-painted and had both tires flattened on the left side.

Theft

McNab Rd.

A female was the victim of theft on 12/25/2021. She advised that an unknown person(s) stole her Ring Doorbell Camera off of the front door, possibly overnight. Tot. Est. Loss: $100.

N. Pine Island Rd

On 12/21/2021, the victim sold a phone in a parking lot to a suspect and accepted counterfeit bills of U.S. currency as payment. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,300.

Arrests

Sibble, Kemar, 28, was arrested on charges of Simple Assault-on Officer Firefighter Emt Etc on N University Dr on 12/21/2021.

Laur, Jeffrey Kyle, 22, was arrested on charges of Warrant – Driving While License Suspended – $1000 on N University Dr on 12/21/2021.

Batchelor, Phillip Clyde, 37, was arrested on charges of Battery-commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation on W Commercial Blvd on 12/23/2021.

Bridge, Whittaker Lloyd, 51, was arrested on charges of Warrant Writ Of Bodily Attachment on N University Dr on 12/23/2021.

Andino Licona, Marlon Wilfredo, 29, was arrested on charges of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense on N State Road 7/Lakeside Dr on 12/24/2021.

Lebron, Neftali, 42, was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 750 Dols on W Commercial Blvd on 12/25/2021.
