Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through May 16, 2022.
Aggravated Assault
W. Commercial Blvd.
On 05/11/2022, a suspect took three packages of false eyelashes from an unidentified business. The manager attempted to stop him. The suspect had a pocket knife that was pulled. The manager did not want to prosecute. Trespass warning issued. The suspect had a warrant and was arrested for that. Tot. Est. Loss: $30.
Auto Theft
Madison Ave.
A person was the victim of Auto theft on 05/10/2022. A customer’s vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of an unidentified business.
Battery
NW 61st St.
A 26-year-old female was the victim of Battery on 05/10/2022. After a verbal argument, the offender punched the victim with a closed fist multiple times. The offender was arrested for Domestic Battery and was transported to BSO Main Jail.
NW 57th St
The victim advised that on 05/15/2022, he was backing out of a parking space, and another vehicle was trying to get by him. The driver of the other vehicle exited his vehicle, yelled at the victim, slapped him, and drove away.
Burglary Conveyance
Woodmont Ter.
A 43-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 05/10/2022. The unknown person(s) entered an unlocked black VW Passat without the owner’s permission. While inside, the person(s) did remove approximately $5 in change from the console. Tot. Est. Loss: $5.
Theft
W. McNab Rd.
A business was the victim of Theft on 05/12/2022. Two unknown suspects stole stainless steel items from the rear loading dock area at an unidentified property. The metal was reported to be worth $7,000.
Theft From Building
NW 84th Ln.
A property owner was the victim of Theft from a building on 05/16/2022. Deputies were dispatched to the property about stolen concrete window sills. A total of eight concrete sills were stolen. The value is $400. Unknown suspect(s) removed items without permission of the owner.
Arrests
Gomes, Tromel, 27, was arrested on Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol charges on Nw 61st St on 05/10/2022.
Wilson, Denzel Ezekiel Xavier, 23, was arrested on charges of Warrant/ No Valid Driver License on W Commercial Blvd on 05/11/2022.
Peters, Denise Nicole, 52, was arrested on charges of Warrant-Arr Personal Id Info on W Commercial Blvd 05/14/2022.
Wright, Kemar, 36, was arrested on charges of Battery-commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation on Sanibel Dr on 05/14/2022.
Alexander, Robert Andrew, 35, was arrested on charges of Disorderly intoxication in a Public Place/Cause Disturbance on Nw 51st Pl on 05/15/2022.
Liburd, Travis Richard, 25, was arrested on charges of Trespassing-occupied Structure Or Conveyance on N State Road 7 on 05/16/2022.
