Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through November 6.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – False Pretense on N University Drive was reported on 11/04/2023. The total estimated loss was $500. The victim advised he sent a money order to an unknown subject.
A victim of Fraud Identity Theft on NW 80 Court was reported on 10/31/2023. The complainant wants to report that an unknown person took out a card in her name and maxed it out.
Auto Theft
A victim of Auto Theft on N State Road 7 was reported on 10/31/2023. A 2011 blue Honda Accord was stolen.
A victim of Auto Theft on Treehouse Lane was reported on 11/01/2023. A white 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan was reported stolen.
A victim of Auto Theft – Other on N Pine Island Rd was reported on 11/02/2023. Unknown juveniles stole a golf cart from the golf course. The golf cart was later recovered.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on NW 94 Terrace on 11/03/2023. An unknown suspect stole the victim’s 2018 Gray Honda Accord.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on NW 62 Street on 11/03/2023. Unknown suspects stole the victim’s vehicle, a 2019 Blue Infiniti.
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on S Colony Cir was reported on 11/03/2023. The total estimated loss was $100. Unknown suspects stole a Fog Light Cover and the Windshield Protector from the victim’s vehicle.
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 11/01/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,300. The complainant advised that the catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 55 Lane was reported on 11/01/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,000. The victim had jewelry stolen from their room by the offender.
A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting was reported on W Commercial Blvd on 11/04/2023. The total estimated loss was $1,800. A Bluetooth party speaker was stolen outside in front of the store.
A victim of Theft – All Other on N Pine Island Road was reported on 11/02/2023. The total estimated loss was $700. The victim accidentally left his bank card in the ATM, and an unknown person withdrew money from his account.
A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 55 Court was reported on 11/04/2023. The total estimated loss was $440. The reporting person said an unknown subject removed the steel from the front of the business. The items were inside the business and were just outside the front of the business. The total estimated loss was $440. The total steel weight is approximately 450 pounds.
A victim of Theft – All Other on NW 83 Terrace was reported on 10/31/2023. The total estimated loss was $250. Multiple Ceramic statues were stolen from neighborhood yards.
Battery
A victim of Battery on NW 70 Court was reported on 11/01/2023. The victim advised his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend punched him in the face.
Threats / Intimidation
A victim of Threats / Intimidation was reported on NW 61st Avenue on 11/01/2023. The victim advised that he got threatening text messages from a subject he had a strictly sexual relationship with for approximately five years.
Arrests
Cooper, Ty`keria, Ron`trell, 22, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on W Commercial Blvd on 10/31/2023.
Joseph, Landy, 42, was arrested on a Burglary Structure Unoccupied/Unarmed charge on N State Road 7 on 10/31/2023.
Whyte, Shavaine, Kimauni, 25, was arrested on an Operate W/O Valid License charge on W Commercial Blvd on 11/06/2023.
Ajerie, Sidney, 26, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on Treehouse Lane on 11/06/2023.
