Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through August 2, 2021.
Auto Theft
Commercial Blvd.
On July 28, a person was the victim of Auto Theft. Unknown subject(s) stole a 2021 white Honda Accord by unknown means. Affidavit signed. The vehicle was unable to be tracked.
Assist Outside Agency
NW 64th Ave.
On July 29, a deputy was flagged down by the reporting person who witnessed someone fall off his bike and hit his head on the sidewalk. Deputy administered first aid until Tamarac Fire Rescue arrived on the scene.
Found Property
Holly Ct.
On Aug. 1, the reporting person found a bullet on the ground in a parking lot area. The 9-millimeter bullet was collected and entered into evidence for destruction.

NW 80th Ave.
On July 27, deputies responded in reference to a male possibly exposing himself.
Commercial Blvd.
On July 29, deputies located a hidden homeless campsite with tents at the rear of a business. Contact made with 3 homeless individuals. Field interview cards completed.
7201 N. University Dr.
On July 31, a homeless mother and child were provided assistance with housing and food.
Missing Endangered Person
Prospect Rd.
On July 29, deputies responded to a report of a missing endangered person, who threatened to commit suicide. Entered into Teletype and Countywide BOLO issued. Detective C. Blankenship responded to the residence to conduct his investigation, along with K-9 Handler Kelli Covet and her bloodhound.
Runaway
NW 65th St.
On July 29, a woman wanted to report a female missing after realizing she was not in her room and found the sliding door window open.
Theft
Lagos De Campo Blvd.
On Aug. 1, the victim had all four wheels taken off her vehicle overnight. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,500.
Arrests
Dajani, Bahai, 26, was arrested on charges of Trespassing-after Warning-structure Or Conveyance on N State Road 7 on 07/27/2021.
Lawler, Mary L., 64, was arrested on charges of Agg Battery Cause Bodily Harm/disability-domestic on NW 84th St on 07/28/2021.
Dix, James Raul, 40, was arrested on charges of Warrant: Grand Theft 3rd Degree in the 7900 block of NW 83rd St on 07/29/2021.
Colbert, Wayne Patrick, 23, was arrested on charges of Warrant-possession Of Oxycodone on NW 57th Pl on 07/29/2021.
Angelety, Jarvis Javon, 32, was arrested on charges of Battery-commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation on Sands Point Blvd on 07/29/2021.
A person was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol on W 52nd Ct on 07/30/2021.
A person was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol on NW 70th Ave on 07/30/2021.
A person was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/Deadly Weapon-domestic Viol on NW 46th Ter on 08/01/2021.
