Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through Sept. 19, 2022.
Animal Bite
N. Colony Cir.
A 34-year-old female was the victim of an Animal Bite on 09/19/2022. Victims were bitten by a neighbor’s dog while walking by an apartment’s front door. Victims sustained minor injuries.
Burglary Residence
White Oak Ln.
A 46-year-old male was the victim of a Burglary Residence on 09/17/2022. Deputy met with the caller, who advised an unknown subject entered his home through the westside rear window. No property was stolen due to the caller being home and an unknown subject running out of the westside rear window.
Fraud
Lime Bay Blvd.
A 23-year-old male was the victim of Fraud – All Other on 09/17/2022. The subject attempted to purchase a dirt bike with fake money.
Hampton Hills Blvd.
A 33-year-old was the victim of Fraud-All Other on 09/14/2022. A male subject impersonated a BSO employee on the phone in an attempt to scam the victim out of money.
Theft
Madison Ave.
Unknown suspects stole the catalytic converter from the complainant’s rental vehicle, a Mitsubishi Outlander. Tot. Est. Loss: $2,000.
Commercial Blvd.
A 43-year-old male was the victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on 09/18/2022. The catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,000.
University Dr.
A 35-year-old female was the victim of Theft – All Other on 09/17/2022. The victim innocently forgot her iPhone on the ticket counter and left the store. The offender arrived at the counter, paid for his flowers, and picked up the victim’s phone as it was his. The offender then left the store and rode his bicycle out of the area. Tot. Est. Loss: $900.
Arrests
Metayer, Erock,39, was arrested on charges of Contrib Delinq Minor-or Dependency on Sw 63rd Street on 09/13/2022.
Moise, Marc-Tyller, 26, was arrested on charges of Possess Counterfeit DL Or Id on Commercial Blvd on 09/13/2022.
Smith, Indiana Alan, 28, was arrested on charges of Viol Injunction Protection Domestic Violence on Nw 78th Ct on 09/14/2022.
