Tamarac Crime Update: Latest Incidents Through November 4

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac through November 4.  Names of those not arrested have been redacted.

Burglary Conveyance

9400 block of West McNab Road

On October 30, an unknown suspect(s) burglarized the victim’s vehicle. No property was stolen, and the point of entry was the front passenger side window.

7300 block of NW 57 Place

On October 30, the victim reported his unlocked vehicle was burglarized. There was no property reported stolen, and the point of entry was the front driver’s side door. No latent prints or videos were collected.

7400 block of NW 58 Street

On November 1, the victim reported an unknown person(s) entered her unlocked vehicle overnight, and once inside, ransacked the vehicle. No personal items were taken, and there were no signs of forced entry.

6950 Southgate Blvd

On November 2, deputies responded to a burglary conveyance in the parking lot. The suspect forced entry into the passenger side window and took the victim’s wallet.

6800 block of Southgate Blvd – Mission Lakes

On November 4, the victim reported his locked vehicle was burglarized. No property was taken. The point of entry was the driver door window. No prints were collected due to a time delay.

Criminal Mischief

5100 block of Island Club Drive – Island Club Apartments

On October 30, the complainant reported that the front window at his apartment was shattered.

5800 block of Plum Bay Parkway – Plum Bay

On October 31, the victim reported he had parked his vehicle while going trick-or-treating in the neighborhood and returned to find a white substance sprayed on the windows and hood of the vehicle.

8011 block of Buttonwood Circle Woodmont

On November 2, the victim reported a known subject poured an acid-like substance on his vehicle, causing damage. The subject was gone when deputies arrived.

Robbery by Sudden Snatching

3873 West Commercial Boulevard – Extended Stay

On October 30, the victim reported the suspect approached him and asked for directions to the hotel office. The suspect snatched the victim’s gold necklace as he walked away. The suspect fled in a black Honda Accord.

Recovered Auto

5200 block of West Commercial Blvd.

On November 1, a black 2019 Land Rover Range Rover that was reported stolen out of Coral Gables was located unoccupied at

5201 West Commercial Blvd after being involved in an accident. Goral Gables Police Department was notified, and the vehicle was towed to Westway towing.

4900 block of NW 57 Court – Central Parc Community

On November 3, a 2018 white Range Rover was stolen out of Orlando by an unknown suspect(s) and recovered in Tamarac.

Theft – all other

3150 West Commercial Blvd – Family Dollar

On November 2, the victim advised an unknown male entered the Family Dollar Store and stole her cell phone that was on the counter at register checkout number three.

Theft – retail, shoplifting

3914 West Commercial Blvd. – Walgreens

On November 2, the victim reported a male entered the store, walked behind the counter, and stole a 15-pack of Newport cigarettes. The subject then jumped over the counter and fled in an unknown direction.

3915 West Commercial Blvd – CVS

On November 3, the victim reported a male entered the store, went to the refrigerator, and stole three cases of beer.
