Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through February 12, 2024.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 02/06/2024. The victim advised her front and rear passenger side windows were found shattered.
A victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 02/09/2024. The victim had four unknown males pop his bicycle tires.
Theft
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 02/06/2024. The total estimated loss was $14,025. The victim advised he rented a room to a friend, and the friend stole his electronics and tools when he was at work.
A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts was reported on 02/11/2024. The total estimated loss was $4,500. The victim advised all four tires of her vehicle had been stolen while the car was parked.
CVS was the victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting was reported on 02/07/2024. The total estimated loss was $118.
A victim of Theft – All Other was reported on 02/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $100.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 02/08/2024. An unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s 2020 silver Honda Accord Sport while she was inside her workplace. The victim is still in possession of the keys.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 02/07/2024. Deputies responded about a Gray Chevy Camaro NY TAG being stolen.
Fire
A victim of Fire on N University Drive was reported on 02/07/2024—a vehicle caught on fire.
Information
Information on NW 55 Court was reported on 02/10/2024. The caller said D&G Towing towed her vehicle from her complex in Plantation for an expired tag. D&G Towing said they could not release the car until the complainant registered it. The Deputy explained to the complainant that this was a civil matter and that she needed to register her car to release the vehicle.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud – Impersonation was reported on 02/07/2024. The victim believes that his ex-wife opened a credit card in his name.
Arrests
Zdanowitz-Neiss, Joy, 49, was arrested on a charge of Felony Battery-Domestic Violence on 02/06/2024.
Pavret, Schneiderson, 18, was arrested on a Burglary, Dwelling Unoccupied/Unarmed charge on 02/07/2024.
Hicks, Irvine, 18, was arrested on a charge of Burglary, Dwelling Unoccupied/Unarmed on 02/07/2024.
