Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through Nov. 28, 2022.

Fraud

W. McNab Rd.

A person was the victim of Fraud on W McNab Rd on 11/22/2022. The victim’s computer was hacked, causing them to lose full control of accounting software. Tot. Est. Loss: $355.

Burglary Conveyance

Southgate Blvd.

A person was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 11/27/2022. Subjects broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole a purse containing several items. Subjects attempted to use a bank card to purchase items at Walgreens but were unsuccessful. Tot. Est. Loss: $170.

W. Commercial Blvd.

A person was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 11/25/2022. Tot. Est. Loss: $2,380.

Burglary Residence

W. McNab Rd.

A person was the victim of a Burglary Residence on 11/23/2022. The offender used his fist two punch through the front window of the victim’s residence. The offender entered the residence through the smashed window, collected the victim’s vehicle keys, and left the residence with the vehicle. The victim does wish to prosecute. The vehicle was recovered in good condition.

Robbery

W. Commercial Blvd.

A person was the victim of a Robbery on 11/22/2022. An unknown male wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans attempted to walk out of a store without purchasing the items he took. The manager confronted the male, and he advised he would shoot her if she touched him. The manager was afraid. She retreated and called 911. Tot. Est. Loss: $8.

Stalking

NW 79th Ave.

A female was the victim of Stalking on 11/25/2022. The victim advised that she has been receiving multiple phone calls and messages from someone she knew 20 years ago. She has received approximately 500 messages and 50 calls in total.

Theft

N. Pine Island Rd.

A person was the victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on 11/26/2022. Unknown suspects stole all four tires and rims off the victim’s 2021 Toyota Corolla. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,800.

Arrests

Vazquez, Alfonso Angel, 71, was arrested on charges of Possession Of Cocaine on W Commercial Blvd on 11/24/2022.

Aragon, Edison, 29, was arrested on Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol charges on Nw 78th Ct on 11/23/2022.

Scafidi, John, 47, was arrested on charges of Burglary Unoccupied Dwelling Unarmed on W McNab Rd, Tamarac, on 11/23/2022.

Vieco, Emmanuel Nicholas, 28, was arrested on charges of Sell Schedule 1, 3, or 4 Hallucinogen on W Commercial Blvd on 11/23/2022.

Carmona Alvarez, Davis, 42, was arrested on charges of Burgl-conveyance, Unoccupied/unarmed, on W McNab Rd on 11/23/2022.
