Tamarac Crime Update: Stolen Bible and Credit Card Fraud

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through January 10, 2022.

Auto Theft

NW 78th Ave.

A 37-year-old female was the victim of Auto Theft on 01/04/2022. The victim had her 2022 Honda Pilot taken from the parking lot of her apartment building between 6 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.

Burglary Conveyance

NW 89th Ave.

A 34-year-old male was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 01/04/2022. The victim found that his vehicle had been burglarized and some small hand tools were taken.  Tot. Est. Loss: $50.

NW 86th Ter.

A 40-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 89th Ave. on 01/04/2022. The victim’s 2013 Lincoln was burglarized and moved.

NW 48th Ln.

A 40-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 01/05/2022. The victim`s vehicle was burglarized by an unknown male and a pair of sunglasses was stolen from inside the vehicle. The vehicle was unlocked and there was no forced entry made. Tot. Est. Loss: $450.

Woodland Cir.

A 47-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 01/05/2022. Someone stole a bible and shoes from her vehicle. Tot. Est. Loss: $700.

Credit Card Fraud

NW 64th Ave.

A 35-year-old female was the victim of Fraud – Credit Card/Atm on 01/05/2022. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,420.

Criminal Mischief

Prestige Commons Dr.

A 64-year-old female was the victim of Criminal Mischief on 01/04/2022. The victim had two tires on her vehicle slashed sometime between Sunday night and Tuesday afternoon.

Arrests

Telfort, Nelta, 68, was arrested on charges of Trespassing After Warning on W Commercial Blvd on 01/05/2022.

McNeal, Bartholomew Joshua, 36, was arrested on charges of Battery on Madison Ave on 01/05/2022.
