The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Tamarac responded to various incidents through March 17, 2025. Below is a detailed account of the incidents and arrests handled by local law enforcement during this period.

Theft & Fraud

Theft: A victim reported a theft between March 3 and March 4 in Tamarac. Estimated loss: $500.
Fraud: A husband and wife reported unauthorized transactions on their shared bank accounts between March 10 and March 11. Estimated loss: $9,136.
Fraud: A woman reported her daughter’s ex-boyfriend used her credit card without permission for DoorDash purchases between March 6 and March 12. Estimated loss: $96.
Fraud – Impersonation: A victim discovered unauthorized charges on a Visa gift card on March 9.
Fraud – Identity Theft: A complainant reported identity theft on March 13.
Retail Theft: A theft was reported at CVS Pharmacy, 3915 W. Commercial Blvd., between March 12 and March 13. Estimated loss: $213.
Stolen License Plate: A victim reported their vehicle license plate stolen between March 12 and March 16.
Auto Theft: A resident reported their vehicle stolen between March 17 at 1:19 a.m. and 5:04 a.m.

Assaults & Domestic Disputes

Battery: A verbal argument between two friends escalated to a physical altercation on March 10.
Battery: A victim was battered in an incident on March 11.
Battery: A mother-son altercation turned physical on March 13, resulting in an arrest.
Battery: A woman and a man had a physical altercation on March 15.
Threats/Intimidation: A male suspect called dispatch threatening to shoot up the agency. He was arrested and taken to BSO Main Jail.
Domestic Disturbances (non-criminal): Several domestic disputes were reported involving couples and family members.

Property Crimes

Criminal Mischief: A former tenant allegedly damaged property before moving out on March 10.
Criminal Mischief: A man was seen shooting a BB gun from his car, damaging a county sign on March 15.
Burglary – Business: A McDonald’s employee’s cellphone was stolen from the drive-thru window on March 13. Estimated loss: $1,300.

Miscellaneous

Animal Bite: A woman reported being bitten by a neighbor’s dog while walking past a residence on March 11.
Lost Property: Reports included a lost wig, a missing motorcycle plate, and $1,900 missing from a hotel backpack.
Recovered Auto: A stolen silver Lexus IS200 was recovered in Tamarac, and authorities were notified.
