Animal Bite, Assault and Auto Theft this week in Tamarac Crime

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crimes through October 25.

Animal Bite

7900 block of Exeter Circle West – Exeter Community

On October 22, police responded about a small dog bite that occurred to a landscaper.

Assault

West Commercial Blvd/ North Nob Hill Rd

On October 24, the male victim stated that an unknown subject verbally threatened/intimidated him by stating he had a gun during a road rage incident involving both parties.

Auto Theft



6070 block of North Sabal Palm Blvd – Lakes of Carriage Hills

On October 22, a 29-year-old female was the victim of auto theft overnight. The deputy spoke with the caller via landline due to COVID 19. The caller advised an unknown subject stole her Honda Civic Sport.

Battery

5500 block of Mulberry Drive – The Woodlands

On October 20, the victim advised her ex-boyfriend slapped and struck her several times. As he left, he intentionally broke two Dell computer screens on her desk. The suspect fled before police arrived.

Burglary Conveyance

7200 block of NW 76 Street

On October 20, a 36-year-old female was the victim of a burglary conveyance. A witness reported he saw a male, possibly late teens, wearing a dark hoody, a backpack, and a blue surgical mask set off a car alarm, then flee the area on foot. The victim confirmed her vehicle was broken into and reported sunglasses and a black medium-sized pocket knife were stolen.

7500 block of NW 73 Avenue and the 7200 block of NW 74 Place – Sunflower

On October 20, several unlocked vehicles were broken into. One firearm was stolen. Latent Prints were lifted.

5400 block of Gate Lake Road

On October 24, the deputy met with a caller who advised an unknown subject gained entry to her gold Chevy SUV via an unlocked door and ransacked her vehicle. Nothing of value was taken.

Fire

7900 block of North Colony Circle

On October 23, at or about 1:50 p.m., the female resident stated that she was taking care of her son in her bedroom and smelled smoke. She went to the kitchen that was on fire and poured water on the flames, and extinguished them. Tamarac Fire Rescue arrived (no flames) and ventilated the apartment. The woman was transported to University Hospital as a precaution.

Found Property

4500 block of Treehouse Lane – Arbor Keys

On October 23, a female resident discovered a black/red handgun (J.A. Nine) buried in the bushes adjacent to the front door. A check of the handgun revealed it was reported stolen back in August.

Information

8701 W Commercial Blvd – Tamarac Library

On October 24, the polling deputy stated a subject was campaigning and soliciting within 150 feet of the polling precinct entrance. He was warned and left the area without further incident.

On October 25, a verbal dispute occurred outside the polling site. Allegations of one party being physical/touched. No arrests or trespasses warnings were made. A sergeant was on the scene.

Schools

5703 NW 94 Ave – Challenger Elementary

On October 20, a disturbance occurred in the parking lot between a parent and a step-parent. The disagreement was related to online learning versus in-person learning.

Theft

8300 block of Sands Point Blvd

On October 20, a female victim stated that her 4-door Honda Accord was stolen overnight. Drag marks from the tires could be seen from the second-floor balcony.

Theft/Retail Shopping

4197 West Commercial Blvd. – Marshalls

On October 20, a female subject with a red wig entered the store with a black duffle bag and loaded it with infant/toddler clothing. The subject then left on foot without paying.

3914 West Commercial Blvd – Walgreens

On October 21, two unknown males entered the store and grabbed two cases each of beer and then exited the store, passing all points of sale without paying for them. Surveillance was collected.

3915 West Commercial Blvd – CVS

On October 25, a male subject entered the CVS, grabbed various hair product items, and then proceeded to exit the store, passing all points of sale without paying.

Taffe, Khaleif (B M, 26) was arrested on charges of Domestic Battery By Strangulation-dating Relation at 7460 Woodmont Ter, Tamarac, on 10/21/2020.

Lopez, Manuelle Lemian (W M, 25) was arrested on charges of Larceny-petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 300 Dollars at 5881 N University Dr, Tamarac, on 10/21/2020.

Manzano, Domingo Rodriguez (W M, 40) was arrested on charges of Trespassing-after Warning-structure Or Conveyance at 5200 W Prospect Rd, Tamarac 10/22/2020.

Gonzalez, Victor Manuel (W M, 55) was arrested on charges of Trespassing-after Warning-structure Or Conveyance at 5200 W Prospect Rd, Tamarac 10/22/2020.

Madaire, Vestin (B M, 25) was arrested on charges of Resisting an officer-obstruct W/o Violence at 8301 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 10/24/2020.

Reicher, Howard Alan (W M, 61) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Violence at 5770 Nw 60 Av, Tamarac, on 10/25/2020.
