Nude Photos, Shoplifting and Other Tamarac Crime Updates Through April 20

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac through April 20.

Auto Theft

6700 block of North University Drive – Concord Village

On April 15, a Honda Accord was taken from the parking lot of the apartment complex by an unknown means.

7500 block of NW 96th Terrace – Spring Lake II

On April 20, the listed victim reported she had her Cadillac stolen from in front of her residence overnight.

Auto Theft – Motorcycle

8100 block of North University Drive

On April 14, the male victim reported he saw his blue Yamaha motorcycle in his parking space on April 13, but when he went to his bike the next morning, it was gone. His payments were up to date, and it wasn’t in the tow log.

Burglary Conveyance

6800 block of Southgate Blvd – Mission Lakes Apartments

On April 16, the victim reported multiple cars were burglarized overnight. Items were taken from two of the four vehicles. Latent prints were collected.

6900 North University Drive – CVS

On April 16, the victim had her vehicle parked in front of the pharmacy, and an unknown subject shattered her front passenger window and stole a purse that contained a wallet with cash and multiple credit/debit cards.

7100 block of Carissa Court – Lake Colony

On April 18, the right front window of the victim’s Kia Optima was broken, and the vehicle was ransacked. At that time, the victim advised nothing had been stolen.

7500 block of NW 96th Terrace – Spring Lake II

On April 20, the victim had his Dodge Durango broken into overnight, and a key fob was stolen.

Burglary Residence

6000 block of North Sabal Palm Blvd – Lakes of Carriage Hills Condos

On April 15, the victim reported a male wearing a surgical mask, came to her residence and told her she had a leak that was leaking downstairs, and he needed to check it out. Once she let him in, he distracted her by telling her to remove all items from under the kitchen cabinet. While she did, that the suspect went to her bedroom and stole jewelry and cash then left.

Fire

5700 block of NW 64th Terrace – Mainlands of Tamarac

On April 18, the deputy responded to the residence about a fire located inside the garage. Tamarac Fire Rescue and North Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded and successfully extinguished the fire. No injuries incurred as a result of the fire.

Found Property

7515 North Pine Island Road – Broward Sheriff’s Office

On April 16, the reporting person found a pocket knife on the stairs of the District Office.

8100 block of Pine Circle – Pine Tree Estates

On April 13, a resident advised a known subject posted nude pictures of her on Facebook without her permission. However, after notifying Facebook, the page has been removed.

10200 NW 67th Street – Unipharma

On April 15, a male became trapped when his hand was pinned in the machine he was working on. Tamarac Fire Rescue responded and successfully extricated him, and transported him to the hospital.

Theft – All other

5900 block of NW 57th Court

On April 15, while All Counties Paving was working on the concrete, some unknown person(s) took a hand saw that was on the ground by the truck. No one saw the theft occur.

Theft – motor vehicle, parts

8100 block of NW 72nd Ave – Sunflower

On April 15, an unknown suspect(s) stole four factory tires/rims from the victim’s Toyota Camry. The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway. There was no description of the suspect(s).

8100 block of NW 73rd Terrace – Sunflower

On April 15, the victim reported a theft overnight.

4700 block of NW 47th Ave – Mainlands of Tamarac Lakes

On April 19, the listed victim reported the theft of the tires and rims off of her white Honda Accord overnight.

Theft – retail, shoplifting

4999 N State Road 7 – 7-Eleven

On April 14, an unknown male entered 7-Eleven and selected Downy Detergent and Febreze fabric spray and exited the store without paying for the items.

3914 West Commercial Blvd – Walgreens

On April 14, two masked men entered the store and made away with $115.93 worth of merchandise.

3101 West Commercial Blvd – 7-Eleven

On April 15, the clerk stated a group of six or seven males and females exited the store with stolen merchandise. The clerk was unable to describe the suspects or description and value of the stolen items.

3914 West Commercial Blvd – Walgreens

On April 16, the manager advised that a male and female couple entered the store and removed $184.71 worth of headphones and audio equipment.

8199 North University Drive – Walgreens

On April 17, the manager called to report a theft. In the process of walking out with the merchandise, one of the suspects spat in the managers face.

6401 West Commercial Blvd – Walgreens

On April 17, five unknown females entered the pharmacy and exited with multiple boxes of diapers without rendering payment.

Threat/Intimidation

7050 North University Drive – Aldi

On April 16, the arrestee was trespassed from the plaza 20 minutes earlier and returned. After being detained, the arrestee tensed and pulled away, trying to defeat being handcuffed. Once inside the deputy’s marked unit, the arrestee stated: “I’m gonna kill you nigga and slit your throat.”
