Tamarac Offers Tour to African-American Heritage Exhibit

As part of their Black History Month celebrations, Tamarac Parks & Recreation is offering residents a trip to the African-American Heritage Exhibit, “Collaboration-Karibu.”

Featured local artists include Andrew Hollimon, Anthony Burks Sr., Clayton Singleton, Scott Jeffries, Katiana Jarbath Smith, Michelle Drummond, Ramel Jasir, Robert McKnight, and Shawn Henderson.

The celebratory exhibition will explore the people of the African diaspora, and welcome community through the arts. It will benefit the No More Starving Artists Foundation.

The exhibit itself is free to the public, though they take donations, the cost to attend through the trip is $20 for residents and $30 for non-residents.

The trip to the Palm Beach Art, Antique & Design Showroom takes place on Thursday, February 20, and leaves from the Tamarac Community Center at 3:00 p.m. and returns at approximately 8:00 p.m.
