Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac from February 5 through February 11.
Burglary Conveyance
4451 Treehouse Lane – Hotwire Communications
Between February 5 at 10:30 p.m. and February 6 at 7:38 a.m., an unknown person stole the victim’s work tablet form his van. The scene was processed for latent prints. There were no witnesses.
4400 block of Treehouse Lane
Between February 8 at 8:30 p.m. and February 9 at 2:30 p.m., an unknown person(s) broke into the victim’s vehicle but did not remove any property from the vehicle.
6000 Hiatus Road
Between February 7 at 8:00 a.m. and February 8 at 8:00 a.m., someone entered unlocked Fire Rescue Truck #41 and stole several keys that unlock businesses in Tamarac. It is unknown where and when it occurred. There is no scene to process and no witnesses or evidence at this time.
7178 North University Drive – Fortune Dragon
On February 9 at 8:42 p.m., an unknown subject(s) made forced entry through the front driver side window of the victim’s vehicle. Nothing was stolen.
Found Property
7500 block of Southgate Blvd
On February 5 at 8:48 a.m., a red motorcycle was found in a canal. It had not been reported stolen at that time.
Battery
7431 North University Drive – LabCorp
On February 4 at 11:30 a.m., a caller claimed that a phlebotomist that was drawing her blood had the tourniquet on too tight and when she asked her to take it off, the phlebotomist hit her on the arm and pushed her backward by pressing her face against the caller’s face. The phlebotomist said the caller pulled her tourniquet off causing the needle to pull out of her arm, then told her to go to hell and kicked her. The phlebotomist was advised on how to go to the state attorney’s office if she wanted to file charges.
Criminal mischief
5700 block of NW 84th Terrace
Between February 6 at 11:00 p.m. and February 7 at 4:00 a.m., an unknown subject(s) broke the glass of a rear jalousie window of the residence and deflated the front tires of a vehicle parked in the carport.
Vehicle theft
8700 block of Holly Court Woodmont
On February 9 between 12:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., a vehicle was stolen from a guest spot in the complex. The tow company listed at the complex was contacted and the vehicle was not located. There is not video surveillance in the complex and no witnesses could be located.
Burglary residence
5700 block of Guava Drive – The Woodlands
On February 5 between 12:25 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., – an officer met with the victim, who referenced an unknown subject wearing a facial mask carrying a gun seen on video surveillance cameras trying to find a point of entry into the home. The sergeant was notified.
Theft/Retail Shoplifting
3915 West Commercial Blvd – CVS
On February 9 at 8:50 a.m., a suspect took items totaling $122.68 and was placed into custody.
Robbery by Sudden Snatching
3100 West Commercial Blvd
On February 9 between 6:30 p.m. and 7:10 p.m., an unknown man offered to help the victim place groceries in her vehicle. Then he snatched her beige purse.

Theft
Renaissance Charter School at University
On February 7 between 12:26 p.m. and 2:23 p.m., a student stole $120 from a school staff wallet. A juvenile civil citation form was completed.
Battery
Millennium Middle
On February 7 at 5:31 p.m., a mutual dispute took place. The principal was on the scene and advised that the students would be disciplined by the school. No injuries were reported.

On February 6, Andy Louis, 26, on charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle at 7001 West Commercial Blvd.
On February 9, Dexter Arlington Stubbs, 44, on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic violence at 5100 West Commercial Blvd.
On February 9, Michael Anthony Jones, 62, on charges of larceny/petit theft, 2nd degree 3rd subsequent offense at CVS at 3915 West Commercial Blvd.
