Tamarac Weekly Crime Update February 4, 2019

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac from January 29 through February 4.

Drugs/Narcotics offense

7250 NW 80th Ave – Woodmont Nature Preserve

On January 29 at 2:05 p.m., a canine was deployed along the pathway of the park and alerted to a subject seated on a bench. The subject found to be in possession of THC and cannabis and was arrested.

Criminal Mischief

5451 North State Road 7 – USPS

On January 29 between 7:00 a.m. and 07:12 a.m., the victim reported damage to her vehicle. The suspect was located and arrested for a similar crime in the area, but no witnesses to this crime were located.

10700 block of NW 80th Court

On January 29 at 2:41 p.m., the victim advised that an unknown person(s) removed the two front windows and broke off the front door knob from his home. There was no apparent entry to the structure.

Burglary residence

7400 block of Ashmont Circle in King’s Point

On January 29 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., an unknown subject(s) damaged the screen and entered the condo through the front window and removed a safe from the wall in the closet.

Aggravated Battery

9900 block of North Grand Duke Circle

On January 30 between 1:57 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., the victim came home late from work, which caused the arrestee to get upset. During the verbal argument, the arrestee began to scratch the victim’s neck and punched him in the face. When the victim tried to restrain the arrestee grabbed a knife and cut the victim on the forearm causing a small laceration. The victim refused Fire Rescue. The arrestee was placed into custody and was transported to Main Jail for booking.

Theft/Retail Shoplifting

4197 W Commercial Blvd – Marshalls

On February 4 at 3:20 p.m., an unknown male entered Marshalls, took multiple pairs of shoes and exited without paying.

Arrests

On January 29, Damian James Moss Solomon, 40, on charges of battery causing bodily harm – Domestic Violence

at the 8700 block of Cypress Walk Court.

On January 29, Robert Thomas Stacy, 38, on charges of possession at 7250 NW 80th Ave (Woodmont Nature Preserve).

On January 30, Josue Charles, 26, on charges of violation of injunction for protection against domestic violence at the 4400 block of Treehouse Lane.

On January 30, Deja Lynn Connor, 30, on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon – domestic violence at the 9900 block of North Grand Duke Circle.

On January 30, Jennifer Lee Fazio, 37, on charges of Larceny/grand theft over $300 but less than $5,000 at the 9900 block of Malvern Drive.

On January 30, Ramon Gonzalez, 46, on charges of Larceny/grand theft over $300 but less than $5,000 at the 1900 block of NW 45th Court.

On January 30, Ramon Gonzalez, 46, on charges of Larceny/grand theft over $300 but less than $5,000 at the 1900 block of NW 45th Court.

On January 30, Mavis Camille Johnson, 52, on charges of Larceny/grand theft over $300 but less than $10,000 from a person 65 years or older at Aldi at 7050 North University Drive.

On January 31, Jacquilla Iesha Morris, 23, and Honesti Ladaezah Williams, 19, on charges of Larceny/grand theft over $300 but less than $5,000 at CVS at 3915 W Commercial Blvd.

On February 1, Edward Jean Avril, 41, on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic violence at the 8800 block of NW 76th Place.

On February 2, James Kelly, 39, on charges of Larceny/petit theft at the 4900 block of North State Road 7.

On February 2, John Godfrey Watson, 30, on charges of Larceny/petit theft at CVS at 3915 West Commercial Blvd.

On February 3, Alexander Pericles, 22, on charges of Aggravated Battery where the offender knew or should have known that the victim was pregnant, at the 8300 block of Sands Point Blvd.
