Tamarac Weekly Crime Update March 10

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac from March 5 through March 10.

Criminal mischief

7700 block of West McNab Road

On March 5 at 1:17 a.m., the vehicle driver side tires were stolen off the rim of the vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.

Battery

7425 North University Drive – University Pavilion

Between March 4 at 10:00 p.m. and March 5 at 5:04 p.m., the patient/client (offender) battered the victim (mental health tech) while the offender was being treated for his mental illness at University Pavilion.

Fraud

7300 block of North Devon Drive

On March 6, the victim reported that she had received a phone call stating she was getting a refund from Microsoft for $300. She was later scammed out of $5,200.

Auto Theft

5600 block of Hiatus Road

Between March 1 at 5:00 p.m. and March 4 at 2:00 p.m., a semi-tractor was stolen from the site.

4800 block of Banyan Lane – The Woodlands

Between March 6 at 9:30 p.m. and March 7 at 2:35 a.m., an unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s vehicle, which was recovered in Fort Lauderdale and towed to Mac’s towing service.

3800 West Commercial Blvd – La Quinta Inns and Suites

Between March 6 at 7:00 p.m. and March 7 at 7:35 a.m., a vehicle was discovered missing. It was last seen in the hotel parking lot. There was no video available.

Theft

4700 block of NW 29th Terrace

On March 4 between 10:15 p.m. and 11:56 p.m., a vehicle was stolen while parked in the street. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside.

9804 West McNab Road

Between March 3 at 9:45 p.m. and March 4 at 6:10 a.m., the victim had all four wheels taken from his vehicle.

Arrests

On March 5, Nikki Alexandra Cullen, 21, Joseph Darnell Davis, 47, and Victor Morales, 34, were arrested on charges of touch or strike/battery at the 7100 block of Woodmont Ave.

On March 5, Rodney Gerard Robillard, 41, was arrested on charges of warrant-probation violation-counterfeiting at the 5000 block of West Prospect Road.

On March 7, Jesus Emmanuelle Fernandez Astacio, 26, was arrested on charges of damage to property/criminal mischief over $200 but under $1000 at the 9100 block of NW 81st Court, and again on March 10 at the 7800 block of Catalina Circle.

On March 9, Michael R. Del Valle, 35, was arrested on charges of violation of an injunction-protection against domestic violence at the 6700 block of NW 70th Ave.

On March 9, Ulyses Torres, 44, was arrested on charges of touch or strike/battery/dating violence at the 8800 block of NW 78th Court.

On March 10, Staci-ann Aris, 24, was arrested on charges of battery-causing bodily harm at the 5400 block of White Oak Lane.
