South Florida’s Strange Fruit Jazz Ensemble takes the Kings Point Palace stage with Remembering Billie Holiday, a live tribute to one of jazz’s most influential performers.
Presented by Sweet Productions, the show celebrates Holiday’s career with performances of many of her signature songs, including “God Bless the Child,” “Lover Man,” “Fine and Mellow,” “I’ll Be Seeing You,” and “Strange Fruit.”
Held on Saturday, July 11, the show is $10 for Kings Point residents and $15 for guests, with tickets available online and at the venue’s box office before and on the night of the concert.
The new box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, tickets can be purchased at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
As a reminder, shorts are not permitted in the theater. All attendees must be 18 years or older for all shows. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
The Palace at Kings Point is located at 7622 NW 76th St. in Tamarac.
