When Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty got together in 1988 to record music as the Traveling Wilburys, they wrote hits such as Handle with Care, Last Night, and others but never performed their material live.
The Traveling Wilburys Revue pays tribute to the supergroup’s short but productive collaboration by playing not only the band’s best songs, like Inside Out and End of the Line, but also by including the hits from each of these individual artists in every show.
The tribute band performs legendary tunes like “Here Comes the Sun,“ “Won’t Back Down,“ “Pretty Woman,“ “Like a Rolling Stone,“ and “Don’t Bring Me Down.”
Held on Saturday, February 22, at 8 p.m., the show is $20 for Kings Point residents and $25 for guests, with tickets available online and at the venue’s box office before and on the night of the concert.
The new box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, tickets can be purchased at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
As a reminder, shorts are not permitted in the theater, and all attendees must be 18 years or older for all shows. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
The Palace at Kings Point is located at 7622 NW 76th St. in Tamarac.
