A woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend multiple times during a domestic dispute.

On February 27, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Southwest 8th Street in North Lauderdale.

According to the arrest report, deputies were aware the incident was of an elevated matter, as the 911 call reported a stabbing has occurred.

Upon arrival, deputies immediately transported the victim to North Broward Medical Center with approximately 12 stab wounds, including nine to the left shoulder and back areas, one to the back of the head, one above his right eye, and one to his right hand/wrist.

According to the report, the victim told authorities that a woman, later identified as Orlane Mount Louis, 24, of North Lauderdale, had been accusing him of infidelity when the dispute turned physical.

The victim told deputies Mount Louis allegedly hit him in the face multiple times, and he realized he had been stabbed when he saw blood. He said he then fled the house, and Mount Louis locked him out.

The victim told deputies he sought help from a neighbor, who called 911.

When deputies arrived on the scene, Mount Louis willingly exited the residence and was taken into custody. The report shows she was only wearing a bed sheet covered in blood when she surrendered to the police.

According to the records included in the report, Mount Louis is schizophrenic and reportedly does not take medication.

The victim told deputies had given Mount Louis a knife used in the crime as a gift for protection when she went to Miami. He described the knife as a white, switchblade stiletto with a double-edged blade approximately 5-6 inches in length.

The report shows that the victim sustained multiple stab wounds, requiring sutures and staples.

Mount Louis was transported to the Broward County Main Jail.
