A Tamarac man was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill a customer who entered a barbershop to ask about haircut prices.
According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Allan Geovanny Guardado Rodriguez, 46, was arrested on October 18 following an investigation into a victim’s claims of harassment and assault at a barbershop located at 5845 North University Drive.
While the arrest report does not name the business, both Klassic Hair Salon and Sauce Tha Barber are listed at that address; the report does not establish which shop was involved, and does not indicate or claim that Guardado Rodriguez is employed by either business.
The customer told investigators he had gone inside to ask how much a haircut would cost and whether a barber was available. According to the report, Guardado Rodriguez began making unrelated statements before becoming verbally aggressive and demanding respect.
The customer told deputies Guardado Rodriguez lifted his shirt to expose a tattoo on his stomach and made a statement suggesting he belonged to a gang. During that exchange, the customer reported seeing a silver, shiny, bulky object near Guardado Rodriguez’s waist. He believed it could have been a firearm but told deputies he could not positively identify it.
According to the arrest report, as the customer attempted to leave the barbershop, Guardado Rodriguez yelled, “I will fucking kill you right now,” followed by, “I will kill you right now with whatever I have.” The customer told deputies he feared for his life and ran toward his vehicle.
Deputies arrested Guardado Rodriguez and transported him to the Broward County Sheriff’s Main Jail.
