The Humane Society of Broward County is home to many pets seeking their forever families, and two of them, Layla and Milan, are eager to find a place to feel safe and loved.
Layla
Layla, a 3-year-old, 50-pound bundle of energy, was surrendered when her owner lost his home. Despite the difficult circumstances, her owner wanted the best for her and ensured she would find a loving family to care for her. Layla knows some basic commands and loves toys, so her dream home includes a toybox full of playthings to keep her entertained.
Described by the shelter’s dog walkers as a “spirited gal with a warm disposition,” Layla thrives on attention and affection. Layla would be happy to make a new best friend if you already have a dog with a similar energy level. She’s patiently waiting to be adopted by someone who can spoil her and give her the life she deserves. Layla could be the perfect fit if you’re looking for a loving, playful addition to your home.
Milan
Milan’s journey has been equally challenging. Just over a year old, she was abandoned by her owner and found herself scared and alone. Fortunately, a kind neighbor stepped in, got her vaccinated and spayed, and brought her to the Humane Society, where she’s been waiting for her forever home since early June.
Milan is a bit shy, and that may be why she has been overlooked. But once she gets comfortable, this young feline is playful, loving, and a joy. She loves cuddling with soft toys, chasing feathers, and enjoying tasty treats. Milan would thrive in a calm environment where her new family can give her the time to adjust and feel safe.
