This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through September 16, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents.
Battery
A victim of Battery was reported on 09/10/2024. An adult female stated the suspect slapped her in the face because she refused to give him money.
Fraud
A victim of Fraud by Wire was reported on 09/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $13,762. A female reported that checks were being cashed out without her permission.
A victim of Fraud – Identity Theft was reported on 09/10/2024.
Extortion / Blackmail
A victim of Extortion / Blackmail was reported on 09/10/2024.
Robbery
A victim of Robbery- Carjacking was reported on 09/11/2024. The victim was carjacked, robbed and battered.
Burglary
A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 09/12/2024. The total estimated loss was $427. A Nissan Altima was broken into.
Dunkin Donuts was the victim of Burglary Business at 4900 N State Road 7, reported on 09/11/2024.
A victim of Burglary Conveyance on Coco Palm Drive was reported on 09/11/2024. The total estimated loss was $181.
Weapons Violations
The state of Florida was the victim of Weapons Violations – All Others on Fairfax Drive. Shooting/ Possession of Firearm by Convicted Fellon after accidental discharge was reported on 09/11/2024.
Criminal Mischief
A victim of Criminal Mischief was reported on 09/12/2024. The victim found the driver’s side window of his black Chevrolet Camaro shattered.
Information
Information was reported on 09/12/2024. Deputies were dispatched regarding a possible altercation between two individuals. The altercation led to a subject entering their vehicle and hitting a nearby mailbox.
Information was reported on 09/13/2024. The caller is a contractor who put in a bathroom. He got paid, but then the client threatened to have his family come from New York and take him for a ride to the Everglades.
Information was reported on 09/13/2024. The complainant advised she never received medication to her home even though the sender reported it delivered.
Death
A victim of Death Investigation was reported on 09/13/2024. The subject was found deceased in the residence.
Trespassing
A victim of Trespassing was reported on 09/13/2024. Deputies were dispatched about a male caller stating he was observing a male breaking into his box truck and taking shelves.
Theft
A victim of Theft—Motor Vehicle Parts was reported on 09/13/2024. The total estimated loss was $800. A catalytic converter was taken from a Mitsubishi Outlander.
A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 09/13/2024. The victim advised that her vehicle was stolen.
Arrests
Evans, Scott S., 33, was arrested on a charge of Felony Battery – Domestic Violence on 09/10/2024.
Dickerson, Michael Anthony Isaiah, 35, was arrested on 09/10/2024 on a Drive-While-License-Suspended third Or Subsequent Offence charge.
Carter, Jerome Deltona, 28, was arrested on a Larceny – Other Theft charge on 09/10/2024.
Saintjour, Jamarl M., 27, was arrested on a Robbery-Carjacking Without Firearm Or Weapon charge on 09/11/2024.
Brink, Aaron Andrew, 42, was arrested on a charge of Possession Of weapon or Ammo By Convicted Florida Felon on 09/11/2024.
Bray, Gary Justin, 43, was arrested on a charge of Battery-on Person 65 Years Of Age Or Older on 09/15/2024.
