Commissioner Marlon D. Bolton is calling on the community to come together for a Day of Action to support those affected by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.
The donation drive will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Tamarac Community Center, located at 8601 W. Commercial Blvd.
Residents can drive through or walk in to drop off donations of hurricane relief supplies and non-perishable food items. The effort aims to provide much-needed aid to families and communities recovering from the devastating storm.
Suggested donation items include tarps, tents, flashlights, generators, canned and non-perishable foods, batteries, toiletries, first-aid kits, sleeping bags, and solar-powered lights. Only new, unopened items will be accepted.
