Incidents
Petit Theft: A woman reported her cellphone was stolen while she was doing laundry in Tamarac between the evening of Jan. 12 and early morning Jan. 13. The estimated loss was $300.
Burglary of Vehicle: An unknown suspect entered an unlocked 2021 Chevrolet Silverado parked in Tamarac and stole items from the center console between Jan. 12 and Jan. 13. The estimated loss was $201.
License Plate Theft: A Florida license plate and decal were stolen from a parked 2024 Honda Accord in Tamarac between Jan. 11 and Jan. 13. The estimated loss was $70.
Property Damage: A gate arm was damaged overnight at an apartment complex in Tamarac on Jan. 13.
Retail Theft: CVS reported that two women and one man acting together stole approximately $336 worth of merchandise on Jan. 13. Surveillance footage was provided.
Retail Theft: Publix reported that two individuals stole merchandise valued at approximately $1,199 on Jan. 13.
Retail Theft: Walgreens reported an elderly woman stole approximately $20–$25 in frozen food items on Jan. 15.
Threats/Intimidation: A woman reported receiving threats related to a neighbor dispute involving her daughter on Jan. 13.
Threats/Intimidation: Another Tamarac resident reported being threatened on Jan. 14.
Robbery: A smoke and vape shop in Tamarac reported being robbed at gunpoint late on Jan. 13. The estimated loss was $300. Detectives responded, and the business owner wished to prosecute.
Burglary of Business: City Electric Supply, located at 10304 W. McNab Road, was burglarized on Jan. 14 after suspects broke a glass door and stole merchandise. The estimated loss was $750.
Burglary of Business: A vape shop reported a burglary on Jan. 18 after shattered glass was found and merchandise and cash were stolen. The estimated loss was $120.
Burglary of Residence: A woman reported damage to her fence and missing water equipment on Jan. 18. A neighbor admitted to unlawfully accessing the water supply and was arrested.
Battery: A man reported a neighbor dispute turned physical on Jan. 14.
Battery (Domestic): A man reported his adult son spit on him and pushed him against a wall during a domestic dispute on Jan. 18.
Fraud – False Pretense: A Tamarac woman reported being scammed into purchasing Apple and iTunes gift cards after being contacted through social media. The fraud spanned several years and was reported on Jan. 15.
Fraud – Impersonation: A woman reported sending $22 to someone impersonating a law enforcement officer on Jan. 16.
Suspicious Incident: A business reported an unidentified person entered and demanded “protection money” before leaving on Jan. 16.
City Theft: The City of Tamarac reported repeated unauthorized reconnections to a disconnected water line on Jan. 16. The estimated loss was $175.
E-Bike Theft: An electric bike was stolen outside a Tamarac store on Jan. 19. The estimated loss was $700.
Death Investigations: Several natural or unattended deaths were reported throughout Tamarac during the week. In each case, no foul play was immediately suspected, though one incident required notification of homicide detectives due to circumstances observed.
Domestic Disturbances (Non-Criminal): Deputies responded to multiple verbal domestic disputes throughout the week involving family members and partners. No injuries or criminal charges were reported in these cases.
Baker Act/Marchman Act Incidents: Deputies initiated multiple involuntary mental health evaluations throughout the week involving individuals experiencing hallucinations, suicidal ideations, or severe mental health crises. All individuals were transported to medical or behavioral health facilities.
Arrests
Kervens Dossous, 26, was arrested Jan. 14 on a felony charge of driving with a license revoked (habitual offender).
Julio Cesar Guerrero, 31, was arrested Jan. 14 on an outstanding warrant.
Basilio Valentin Sifko, 65, was arrested Jan. 14 on a felony charge of battery on a person 65 years or older.
Juan David Castano, 46, was arrested Jan. 14 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
Raya Mj Walker, 29, was arrested Jan. 15 on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
Nadley Arne Poussel, 30, was arrested Jan. 15 on a misdemeanor theft charge.
Jeffrey Simplice, 36, was arrested Jan. 15 on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana under 20 grams.
Horace Craig Davis, 54, was arrested Jan. 15 on a felony warrant and possession of cathinones.
Cleveland Jamal Arnold, 24, was arrested Jan. 17 on a warrant for driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Shantayvea Lacora Shamaine Davis, 24, was arrested Jan. 17 on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge.
Michael A. Russow, 46, was arrested Jan. 18 on a felony charge of burglary of an occupied structure.
Yannik Clark, 41, was arrested Jan. 19 in North Lauderdale on a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
