
2025 Tamarac Turkey Trot. {City of Tamarac}
Tamarac’s annual Turkey Trot 5K returns Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 26, with a 7:30 a.m. start near Tamarac City Hall at 7525 NW 88th Ave.
Registration is open to runners and walkers of all abilities. The event will include a pre-race stretch session and live music, followed by food, refreshments, merchandise vendors, and giveaways.
Entry costs $30 through Oct. 30, $35 from Oct. 31 through Nov. 17, and $40 from Nov. 18 through Nov. 25, if spots remain. There will be no race-day registration.
The first 2,000 people to register will receive a commemorative 2026 T-shirt. Participants who complete the course while wearing a race bib will receive a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and age group winners.
The course begins at Northwest 77th Street and Pine Island Road, heads south, then turns east on Northwest 75th Street, north on Northwest 80th Avenue and west on Northwest 81st Street before looping back to Pine Island Road and the finish line. Roads along the route will be closed from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Participants can pick up race packets at City Hall from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 23-25 or beginning at 6:30 a.m. on race day.
Parking at City Hall is limited. A free shuttle will run from the Tamarac Walmart Neighborhood Market, 6931 NW 88th Ave., to the event.
