While conducting a traffic stop in Tamarac, a patrol car driven by a Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy was rear-ended by a truck causing injuries to the deputy.
This happened at 11:28 pm Friday night on the corner of University Drive and Commercial Boulevard. The adult male driver was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The deputy was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
