
Tyler Tavarious Rhodes {BSO}
A man was arrested after deputies say he attacked a woman, striking her in the face and spitting on her before fleeing the scene as she called 911.
According to an arrest report from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler Tavarious Rhodes, 19, of Tamarac, was arrested on October 17 following an incident that occurred near the 9000 block of Northwest 57th Street.
Deputies were dispatched to the area after receiving a call about a disturbance involving a man on a scooter. The caller told dispatchers that the suspect had punched her in the face and spat on her during an argument.
The victim’s injuries were considered minor, and she did not require medical care. She also reported that no weapon was used in the assault.
When deputies arrived, they located Rhodes nearby, matching the woman’s description. After detaining him and speaking with witnesses, deputies determined that Rhodes was responsible for the assault and had also caused minor property damage at the scene.
Rhodes was arrested and transported to the Broward County Main Jail. He was later released after posting $500 bond.
