A woman sitting in her car had her necklace ripped off her neck as she waited outside a Tamarac restaurant.
The incident happened on September 3, and Broward Crime Stoppers are now releasing a sketch of the man.
According to the report, Tamarac resident Sandra Strivelli was sitting in the passenger side of a vehicle around 6:00 p.m. waiting for Ronald Wasserman to pick up pizza at Milano’s Restaurant at 8767 NW 57th Street. As Wasserman walked out of the restaurant and got into the driver’s side of the vehicle, Strivelli saw a man come from the northwest corner of the restaurant and approach her side of the car.
“Excuse me,” he said.
Strivelli rolled down her window and that is when the suspect grabbed her necklace off her neck, however, was only able to get away with the heart pendant. He then ran northbound on Pine Island Road.
She describes the suspect as a black male in his 30s about 5’9, tall skinny build, a short black afro and black beard.
The jewelry is estimated at $100.
Anyone with information the suspect is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
