Tamarac State of the City address by Mayor Michelle Gomez. {City of Tamarac}
Dear Neighbors,
Welcome to June – the official kickoff month of Summer!
Before jumping into all the great things for us to do this month, I just have to say – THANK YOU!
Thank you, Millennium 6-12 Collegiate Academy and the National Honor Society for recognizing me with the Inaugural Honorary Star Award! What an honor and privilege to receive this wonderful Award! And may I share… what a tremendous surprise! (I only expected to give a speech to encourage the inductees!) Congratulations to the NHS Inductees, and thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your special journey!
To everyone who attended the 2026 Business District meeting and the amazing Tamarac Team that participated – thank you! It was great having current and future business owners networking and learning where to find resources, how to work efficiently and effectively with the City, and the City learned more about business community needs and perspectives. Communication is the key to success and I’m glad the lines are open!
Now to our Calendar of Events –

Make sure to join us on Wednesday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W Commercial Blvd, for the 2nd Quarter HOA Liaison Meeting.
