Tamarac Mayor Michelle J. Gomez, along with BRCAStrong and Yasmeen Fitness, invites the community to a free health and wellness event promoting early detection of significant health issues.
The “Let’s Talk and Test Your Health” community health fair will take place on Saturday, June 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Tamarac Multipurpose Center, located at 7531 North University Drive.
The event will provide attendees with access to essential health and wellness information from healthcare professionals, as well as free medical screenings for cervical, colorectal, and prostate cancers, as well as Hepatitis B and C.
Attendees can also expect a panel discussion with a doctor, a Q&A session, a variety of medical resources and educational materials, and a OneBlood donation bus on-site for those interested in donating blood.
In line with the theme, the health-forward event will conclude with a low- to moderate-impact group workout. Attendees are encouraged to dress accordingly.
No registration is required, and the event is open to the public.
Those interested in participating as a resource or learning more can email MayorGomezEvents@Tamarac.org.
