I want to take a moment to congratulate the City’s Information Technology (IT) and Fire Rescue Departments on winning two major awards in 2021.
- The City of Tamarac was named one of the top-ranked digital cities by the Center for Digital Government. Tamarac placed 3rd in the 2021 Digital Cities Survey in the “up to 75,000” population category. This award acknowledges the innovative work of the City’s IT Department in enhancing the lives of both staff and residents. Congratulations to Levent Sucuoglu, James Twigger, and the entire IT Department for your incredible skill and talent!
- Tamarac Fire Rescue placed 2nd in the Clin Con Competition promoted by NAVRA, the North American Vehicle Rescue Association. First responder teams from all over the country participated to showcase their lifesaving skills in vehicle extrication and a mix of real-life drills. Congratulations to retired Fire Chief Percy Sayles, Fire Chief Michael Annese, the competition team, and the entire Tamarac Fire Rescue Department for your expertise and magnificent work!
