Theft and Property Crimes
A retail theft was reported at CVS, 3915 W Commercial Blvd, on March 25 at 12:34 a.m. A suspect stole a bottle of wine and fled. Estimated loss: $31.
A vending machine theft and felony criminal mischief occurred at 3803 W Commercial Blvd on March 25 at 4:05 a.m.
Property damage was reported at an apartment complex at 6180 Rock Island Rd, occurring between March 22–24.
Two vehicles were reported stolen between March 24–29 from separate locations.
Two incidents of property damage to vehicles were reported on March 25.
Identity theft, fraud, and grand theft were reported throughout the week, including a case where $32,400 was given to a friend for a fraudulent stock investment.
Publix at 4121 W Commercial Blvd reported a retail theft of wine. Estimated loss: $690.
A victim was scammed out of $1,000 after receiving threatening calls following a prank.
Another report detailed the theft of a vehicle’s sensor cover valued at $500.
Wallets and cellphones were reported stolen or lost in multiple incidents.
Assaults and Threats
Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was reported on March 26.
An assault was reported on March 31 involving a domestic situation.
A suspicious incident involved a 17-year-old being blackmailed after sending explicit photos online.
Other Notable Incidents
The unlawful discharge of a firearm was reported between March 28–29.
Civil and domestic disturbances, identity and credit card fraud, and vehicle-related incidents were documented throughout the week.
Two stolen vehicles were recovered, including a 2020 BMW 740i.
Multiple reports were filed for found and lost property, including a driver’s license and personal items left in an Uber.
Arrests
Andrew Dorvilus, 30, was charged with petit theft under $750.
Bethony Kimson Dorestil, 33, was arrested twice for burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.
Dominic Ryan Morrison, 40, was charged with petit theft under $750.
Nicholas Gerald Foster, 29, was arrested on a felony DUI warrant.
Kevon La’trae Powell, 21, was charged with grand theft of a firearm.
Mark Richard Rohmann, 64, was arrested in Parkland for battery.
Majed Hishami Hakami, 23, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
Danielle Johnae Rodriguez, 41, was charged with leaving the scene of a crash without providing information.
Andeline Luma, 32, was arrested for domestic battery.
Zicho Deshommes, 47, was arrested in Lauderdale Lakes for aggravated battery.
Quavon Levar Bailey, 39, was arrested on a warrant.
Lakila Lashay Johnson, 37, was charged with domestic assault.
