
Tamarac Fire Rescue {Aiden Palmer}
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Tamarac Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The crash happened around 6:15 a.m. in the area of North State Road 7 and West Commercial Boulevard, where Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue first responders found the man suffering from terminal injuries, according to BSO.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead, deputies said.
According to BSO, the vehicle that struck the man remained at the scene.
BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash.
Authorities said that shortly before 11 a.m., the southbound lanes of North State Road 7 near West Commercial Boulevard were still closed due to the incident. Motorists were encouraged to find alternate routes.
