A Coral Springs woman was arrested on money laundering and prostitution charges this week for running a one-woman brothel in Tamarac, where she serviced five to seven customers a day, court records show.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Money Laundering Task Force, Beibei Zhang, 44, of 12427 NW 63rd St. in Coral Springs, used a Tamarac apartment at 8341 Sands Point Blvd., unit 201B, to perform sex acts on her customers since at least February.

Surveillance by investigators revealed Zhang “typically sees 5-7 customers a day and works Monday through Friday from late morning to early evening,” according to an arrest affidavit. “Zhang also advertises her services on multiple websites like “adultsearch.com”…[she] charges $160 per hour plus tip for the sexual acts.”

Investigators wrote that “an undercover operation” confirmed Zhang’s prostitution in the Tamarac apartment, “where [she] conducted a sex act in exchange for $160.”

The task force said Zhang deposited over $100,000 in illegal proceeds from her sex work into multiple bank accounts during a 12-month period, making “cash only” teller-window deposits of between $1,200 and $2,000 to avoid bank reporting requirements.

“Based on six customers per day, one hour each, at $160 per hour, it is estimated that Beibei Zhang is making at least $4,800 a week, which equates to over $19,000 a month,” the affidavit states.

Zhang was arrested on Aug. 31 at the Truist bank branch at 6210 Coral Ridge Dr. in Coral Springs, records show.

She is charged with money laundering and living off the earnings of prostitution.

Records show Zhang was booked into the Broward County Main Jail and released on a $15,000 bond.
