Registration is open for the City of Tamarac’s 45th Annual Turkey Trot 5K, set for Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 27, at 7:30 a.m. The race starts at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Ave.
The city reported a record 2,500 participants in 2024 and aims to build on that momentum this year. Runners, walkers and wheelchair users of all ages are welcome.
The first 2,000 registrants will receive a 2025 commemorative Tamarac Turkey Trot T-shirt. All attendees wearing a race bib who complete the 5K will receive a medal. Trophies will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers and to age-group winners.
Family-friendly activities will include live music, fitness vendors, and door prizes.
Online registration is available at Tamarac.gov/TurkeyTrot until noon Wednesday, Nov. 26, or until the event sells out. Fees are $35 from now to November 17, and $40 from November 18 to November 26. Same-day registration will not be offered.
