Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in identifying a female hidden under a hooded sweatshirt who robbed a Tamarac Walgreens early Thursday morning at gunpoint.
Surveillance cameras captured the heavy-set, middle-aged woman wearing shorts, sneakers and a large sweatshirt walking into the store located at 6401 W. Commercial Blvd around 6:44 a.m. where she headed over to the cashier, pointed a handgun at him and handed him a bag and demanding money from the register. The crime did not take long, and she appeared calm throughout.
Surveillance video also shows her backing an older, white SUV, perhaps a Dodge Durango or Jeep Cherokee, into a parking spot outside. The vehicle has a roof rack, sun roof and the passenger-side brake light is out.
Anyone with information about this crime can call Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS (8477) or online at www.browardcrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
