The City of Tamarac is set to host a grand Independence Day celebration with two exciting events that promise fun and festivity for all ages.
Residents and visitors are invited to dive into the Fourth of July spirit with activities at the Caporella Aquatic Center and the Tamarac Sports Complex.
Patriotic Splash at Caporella Aquatic Center
Kick off your Independence Day at noon with a splash at the Caporella Aquatic Center at 9300 NW 58th St.
The center will transform into a vibrant red, white, and blue scene, hosting a lively pool party complete with poolside games, arts and crafts, music, and photo opportunities with costumed characters.
This family-friendly event is perfect for cooling off and having fun in the sun. Admission is only $5 per guest.
All-American Celebration at Tamarac Sports Complex
The festivities continue at 6 p.m. at the Tamarac Sports Complex, 9901 NW 77th St., where the All-American Celebration will kick off with various activities and entertainment.
From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests can enjoy delicious offerings from food trucks, browse through various vendor stalls, and engage in arts and crafts.
Face painting stations will delight the younger attendees, while the outdoor concert by The Jam Band, a dynamic nine-member musical group, will get everyone dancing.
Prepare for a spectacular fireworks display that will light up the night sky at 9 p.m., a dazzling conclusion to a day full of celebration.
The event is free and open to the public, but guests are reminded that personal fireworks, sparklers, tents, large bags, grills, alcohol, glass bottles, and pets are not permitted for safety reasons. Bringing blankets or lawn chairs is encouraged to enhance the outdoor experience.
Parking and Shuttle Services
Event parking at the Tamarac Sports Complex is limited, but free parking is available at Kings Point, 7620 N. Nob Hill Road, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Additionally, continuous free shuttle services will be provided from Tamarac City Hall (7525 NW 88th Ave.) and Tamarac Community Center (8601 W. Commercial Blvd.) from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m., with return trips after the fireworks.
An additional shuttle will operate from Redeeming Word Church (2800 Prospect Road) at 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 p.m.
