Woodmont Pod D rendering. {City of Tamarac}
Tamarac will soon have a new housing development.
During a recent meeting, the commission approved a resolution granting site plan approval to permit the development of a property known as Woodmont Pod D, which will allow for the construction of eight two-story townhouse buildings containing 50 dwelling units. These buildings are located on the southeast corner of North Pine Island Road and Southgate Boulevard.
The site plan is consistent with the comprehensive plan. The developer, D.R. Horton, has proposed a project consistent with the low to medium residential designation, which allows up to ten dwelling units per acre, according to city information.
