The Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Tamarac responded to various incidents through September 1, 2025. Below is a detailed account of the incidents and arrests handled by local law enforcement during this period.
Burglaries & Thefts
Burglary Conveyance: Multiple vehicles were broken into across Tamarac between August 25 and 26. Estimated losses included $25 from one incident and $10 from another.
Auto Theft: A vehicle was reported stolen on August 26.
Burglary Residence: A delayed report of a residential burglary showed an estimated loss of $1,690 .
Theft – All Other: A license plate was stolen on August 26 ($6 loss). Another incident at Crunch Fitness involved the theft of a wallet later used for fraudulent purchases ($40 loss). A mailbox theft was reported on August 29, and clothes were stolen from a laundromat on August 31 ($300 loss).
Retail Thefts: Winn-Dixie ($28 loss, Aug. 27) and CVS ($25 loss, Aug. 28) reported shoplifting cases .
Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts: An out-of-state license plate was stolen from a vehicle on Treehouse Lane between August 29–31 ($120 loss).
Burglary Conveyance: A PlayStation 5 was stolen from a vehicle on August 31 ($600 loss).
Fraud Cases: Identity thefts were reported on August 26 and 29 involving fraudulent accounts. La Granja Brasas Grille reported $10,217 in fraud dating back to December 2023.
Assaults & Batteries
Domestic Battery: A brother was arrested for battery involving his sister on August 26.
Aggravated Assault: A father allegedly swung a weapon at his daughter during an argument on August 29.
Domestic Battery Cases: Several incidents occurred from August 28–31, including a strangulation case where an arrest was made.
Aggravated Battery: On August 27, a case involved aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer along with cocaine possession charges.
Other Incidents
Threats/Intimidation: Multiple reports were filed between August 26 and 30, including a case involving threats from an out-of-state relative.
Criminal Mischief: On August 28, a suspect dented the door of a Toyota Prius during a parking dispute .
Missing Persons: Two missing person cases were reported August 28 and another on September 1. All were located or documented, with follow-up.
Domestic Disturbances (Non-Criminal): Numerous verbal arguments between couples and family members were documented throughout the week.
Drugs/Narcotics: On August 29, trafficking amounts of narcotics were uncovered during a probation violation stop.
Weapons Violation: On August 31, a convicted felon was arrested for firearm possession.
Death Investigation: On August 30, a hospice patient died of natural causes in Tamarac; the medical examiner declined jurisdiction.

Angelo Dimarco, 41: Grand theft auto (Aug. 28).
Michael Devonte Tyrell Stewart, 26: Domestic violence battery (Aug. 28).
Griville George Fearon, 85: Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon – domestic violence (Aug. 29).
Rickicia A. Pearce, 19: Domestic violence battery causing bodily harm (Aug. 30).
Johnny Alexander Marin, 41: Domestic battery by strangulation (Aug. 31).
Jermain O. Allen, 33: Felon in possession of a firearm (Aug. 31) .
Lanorris Ketron Cunningham, 36: Burglary – occupied dwelling, unarmed (Sept. 1).
