Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through August 16, 2021.
Burglary Business
Commercial Blvd.
A business was the victim of Burglary Business on 08/10/2021. Two males wearing gray hoodies, black pants and covering their faces, and gloves stole the cash register and two flower pots. Tot. Est. Loss: $3,100.
Burglary Conveyance
NW 53rd St.
A person was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 08/10/2021. A 6-inch bladed knife with a wooden handle and black binoculars were stolen from a vehicle. Tot. Est. Loss: $45.
Rock Island Rd.
On Aug. 12., a firearm was stolen from a vehicle. Tot. Est. Loss: $300.
NW 31st Ave.
On Aug. 15, unknown person(s) unlawfully entered the victim’s Honda Accord. Twenty dollars in quarters, along with her Wells Fargo debit card, was taken. No signs of forced entry were noticed. Surveillance is to be requested from the leasing office. Tot. Est. Loss: $20.
Criminal Mischief
NW 78th Ave.
On Aug. 14, the male victim reported that seven out of eight of his tires had been slashed on his two vehicles in two separate incidents over a two-week time period.
NW 78th Ct.
On Aug. 14, the female victim was home when she started receiving text messages. A short time later, she heard glass shattering and called 911. The back window was broken from an object being thrown into/at the window.
Fire
Commercial Blvd.
On Aug. 10, a caller stated that the engine compartment caught on fire while she was driving her 2014 Hyundai Sonata. Tamarac Fire Rescue responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.
Fraud
Commercial Blvd.
On Aug. 11, a victim advised that an unknown person(s) used his debit card without his knowledge or permission and took money out of an ATM. Tot. Est. Loss: $3,800.
Information
NW 66th Ter.
On Aug. 11, a man poured gasoline on a palm stump in an attempt to remove it.
Recovered Auto
Jade Drive
On Aug. 11, a resident noticed a vehicle parked for almost a month. The vehicle was stolen from a car dealer in Fort Lauderdale.

Gutierrez, Arturo Fabio, 22, was arrested on Viol Injunction Protection Domestic Violence charges on N Colony Cir on 08/10/2021.
Dorsey, Lamont Dello, 72, was arrested on charges of Traffic Offense-DUI Alcohol Or Drugs on Nob Hill Rd on 08/11/2021.
Davis, Darnell Brian, 30, was arrested on Warrant charges on N University Dr on 08/12/2021.
Fallon, Johnpaul Dennis, 39, was arrested on charges of Warrant, Cnt:1 Open Container Alcohol/prohib on N State Road 7 on 08/12/2021.
Ramos, Samuel Alejandro, 25, was arrested on charges of Warrant: Ct I – Fraud on Island Club Dr on 08/13/2021.
Hawkins, Kevin Mark, 23, was arrested on charges of Larc-grand Theft 5k Less Than 10k Dols on W Commercial Blvd on 08/13/2021.
Prospere, Rider, 22, was arrested on charges of Warrant on Lakeside Dr on 08/14/2021.
Dove, David Charles, 72, was arrested on charges of Battery on Person 65 Years Of Age Or Older on Exeter Blvd E on 08/15/2021.
