Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac through January 18.
Aggravated Assault
5600 block of Nob Hill Road
On January 15, a road rage incident resulted in two males exiting their vehicle, and putting a bat up to the victim’s driver window. The subjects also punched, kicked, and poured fluid on the victim’s vehicle causing damage.
Aggravated Battery
6600 block of NW 57 Court – Mainlands of Tamarac
On January 15, an 80-year old female victim reported that her husband struck her once on the head with a wooden cane causing bruising.

9800 block of South Belford Circle – Kings Point Apartments
On January 14, a battery report was taken via telephone involving a 78-year old resident and a visiting family member.
7100 block of NW 83 Street – Sunflower
On January 19, a juvenile female was arrested for domestic battery on her father and transported to the juvenile assessment center.
Burglary Business
8431 West Commercial Boulevard – Colony Center Plaza
On January 20, the victim reported a possible forced entry through the rear window between January 18 and 20. Several tools were stolen from inside the unit. The suspect was unknown.

9700 block of NW 82 Street – Spring Lakes
On January 14, a male victim reported two vehicles were burglarized from the location.
9700 block of NW 83 Street – Northwood
On January 14, a male victim reported a vehicle burglarized by three suspects at 3:26 a.m. on Ring video. The vehicle was entered through an unlocked door, and a semi-automatic handgun was stolen.
5800 block of NW 46 Lane – Central Parc
On January 14, a male victim advised his wallet was stolen from his unlocked car in his driveway.
9600 block of NW 83 Street – Northwood
On January 14, a vehicle was burglarized by unknown suspects. The vehicle was entered through an unlocked door, and a semi-automatic handgun was stolen.
4900 block of NW 59 Street – Central Parc
On January 14, the suspect(s) gained entry to the victim’s Ford Escape through the unlocked front door. The victim’s handicap permit placard was taken.
8100 block of NW 70 Ave – Sunflower
On January 15, the victim reported his Grey Honda Accord was burglarized overnight, and $4,600 was stolen from his center console. Latent Prints were processed with negative results.
5299 North State Road 7 – Tamarac Square Plaza
On January 16, the male victim reported an unknown subject(s) made forced entry into the victim’s locked vehicle. The victim’s Laser/Receiver LEICA Rugby 700, two 25 ft. metal link chains, 1-gallon water jug, and the victim’s rear-tailgate from the vehicle was stolen.
10003 Southgate Blvd – Tephford Park
On January 19, an unknown subject smashed the passenger side window of the victim’s vehicle and took a diaper bag containing the victim’s wallet from within. The victim’s credit card was later used at a Shell gas station in Plantation.
Criminal Mischief
7201 North University Drive – University Hospital
On January 15, an unidentified female vandalized four vehicles by throwing paint on them. Video footage was unavailable.
8000 block of NW 74 Terrace
On January 20, the Heathgate and Sunflower racquetball court located at NW 74 Terrace and NW 80 Court was vandalized. The caller described five to six Hispanic males that used spray paint to paint the walls on both sides of the court. Thee males left in a white vehicle going south on NW 74 Terrace.

7100 block of Nob Hill Rd/South Belfort Circle
On January 14, the driver of a City Furniture delivery truck wanted to document the gate arm closing on his vehicle at Belfort at Kings Point during entrance to the community.
9439 West Commercial Blvd – Ferguson Enterprises
On January 14, company personnel advised that a disgruntled employee started sending unwelcome messages to them after getting fired from the company. There was no credible threat at the moment.
8100 block of NW 59 Street – Mainlands of Tamarac Lakes
On January 15, the caller advised her father passed away and left her guns that she wanted to turn in for destruction. They were sent to the lab and property.
7301 North University Drive – Dermatology Experts
On January 16, a patient at a dermatology practice reported he was uncomfortable at a January 12 appointment, due to the doctor’s assistant making him wear goggles, and putting something in them to make them impossible to see through. The patient claimed the assistant spent a very long time examining his genital area and became concerned that they were either taking pictures or doing something inappropriate.
Stalking
8200 block of NW 68 Terrace – Heathgate Sunflower
On January 18, a female victim reported finding a tracker on her vehicle. She had been receiving harassing text messages from someone, along with pictures of specific locations she had visited.
Theft – all other
5801 Madison Ave – Sawgrass Infiniti
On January 19, the victim reported an unknown suspect stole her iPhone from her vehicle while the vehicle was being serviced at the dealership on January 14. The suspect also gained access through the unlocked phone, used the victim’s cash app application, and charged $20.
Theft – retail, shoplifting
3914 West Commercial Blvd – Walgreens
On January 14, police received a call of delayed theft by an unknown suspect. The manager called the police department after witnessing a male walk out with a Walgreens basket full of headphones without paying.
Trespassing
5753 North University Drive – Midway Plaza
On January 18, a male subject was arrested in reference to trespassing.
