Tamarac Community Center {City of Tamarac}
The City of Tamarac is offering local entrepreneurs a free program designed to help them navigate the requirements and challenges of operating a business.
The Tamarac Access and Business Readiness Program is open to Tamarac residents and business owners and will be held at the Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Blvd.
The program consists of a series of sessions scheduled for Aug. 25, Sept. 8, Sept. 15, Sept. 23 and Sept. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.
According to the city, the program is intended to give business owners access to information and resources to help them establish, operate, and grow their businesses.
Participants will learn about business licensing, including the licenses needed to operate legally, as well as zoning requirements that may affect where and how a business operates. Sessions will also address regulatory compliance and ways businesses can remain in good standing.
The program will also cover procurement and contracting, helping entrepreneurs better understand how to pursue contracts and partnerships. Invoicing practices will be discussed, with an emphasis on helping businesses properly submit invoices and receive payments more efficiently.
The program is free, but space is limited, and registration is required.
