City of Tamarac Hosts Information Session for First-Time Home Buyers

Want to save up to $60K on a down payment and closing costs when buying your first home in Tamarac? Don’t miss the First-Time Home Buyer Purchase Assistance Information Session.

Held at the City Hall Commission Chamber on Wednesday, March 29, at 3 p.m., the free workshop will cover the city’s down payment assistance program and offer tips on how to be a successful homeowner and information on eligibility and available help.

The purpose of the Purchase Assistance Program is to assist with the purchase of homes in Tamarac to be used as primary residences. Funds may be used to assist with down payment and/or closing costs. Each applicant will have their application reviewed for eligibility to ensure that extremely low, very low, low, and moderate-income families are served.

Residents can sign-up for the Purchase Assistance Program online starting Monday, April 18, at 8 a.m. All applicants are required to have a first mortgage from a lender and be under contract for a property located in Tamarac to be processed. Applications will be accepted and processed on a first-ready, first-served basis.
