Get ready to sway to the iconic beats of Motown as Kings Point presents a soulful tribute to the era’s legendary artists.
The Pompano-based band was founded in 2005 by producer Derrick Hadley and has toured extensively, performing at outdoor events, cruise ships, casinos, and adult communities. In October 2012, The Motowners performed for Michele Obama and enjoyed a private photo op.
The show is a creative tribute to the many artists from the classic Motown era, with hits by the Temptations, The Four Tops, Diana Ross & The Supremes, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder.
Held on Saturday, May 4, at 8 p.m., the show is $20 for Kings Point residents and $25 for guests, with tickets available online and at the venue’s box office before and on the night of the concert.
The new box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, tickets can be purchased at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
As a reminder, shorts are prohibited in the theater, and all show attendees must be 18 years or older. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
